象的方式进行的，这些反身抽象在保证两个呈阶梯状的不同水平之间过渡的同时，还通过这同一事实而产生出一些新的改组。总之，新结构的建构似乎表现了一种普遍过程的特性，这种过程在性质上是组成性的，不能还原为只是达到预定结局的一种方法。因此，出现了因果还原论在自然科学领域内的失效；出现了关于形式化的极限以及数学与逻辑间的关系的演绎还原论的失效：所有这些，都导致含有预成意思的彻底演绎的理想的失败，同时也给越来越得到证明的建构主义带来了成功。

按照它对认识的最初级阶段的分析，发生认识论已能证明，认识的原初形式与高级形式的差别比我们过去所认为的要大得多，因此，高级形式的建构不得不经过一段比人们所想像的更长得多、更困难、更不可预料的过程。因此，发生学方法就对建构主义的概念提供了支持；正是为了这个缘故，无论我们的结果是多么地不完全，尽管还有广大的领域尚待探索，我们对发生学方法的前途还是抱有信心的。
